Adhesive Coating

Adhesive coating is one of the key production processes in BOPP packing tape manufacturing. During this stage, pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied evenly onto the BOPP film to create the required bonding strength and sealing performance.

Water-based acrylic adhesive is commonly used for carton sealing tape because it provides good adhesion, aging resistance and stable performance for general packaging applications. Depending on product requirements, different adhesive formulas and coating weights can be selected to achieve different levels of tack, holding power and bonding strength.

Precise coating control helps maintain a uniform adhesive layer across the film surface. Consistent coating thickness is important for tape quality, smooth unwinding, reliable carton sealing and stable performance during manual or automatic packaging.

After coating, the adhesive-coated BOPP film enters the drying process to remove moisture and stabilize the adhesive layer before rewinding and slitting.
